"I love to understand. It seems my most reflexive way of being—a perpetual orientation to nearly everything I encounter.
I love to be wrong, and my comfort with the prospect of my own wrongness can be alarming.
To be fair, I truly love to be right. But my entire life, I’ve not yet stopped discovering that I was, previously, mistaken. Often significantly so! I’ve therefore concluded that being wrong is an unavoidable interim state that may as well be embraced.
I love listening to voices that are different than my own. It’s part of a multipoint strategy I’ve deployed to remain a tolerable human for the next 15-20 years.
I love great art. If you have something important to say, I will listen to you however you feel compelled to say it. My eyes and ears and heart are open. If you make art for the purpose of pleasuring yourself, you’re dead to me.
I hate to read.
I love to write." - @footejm (Washington, DC)
